Request Course/Cohort Scorecard Integration
Course & Cohort Integration
Connect what students are already learning and doing with civic engagement, reflection, and progress toward the NextGen Civic Leader Badge.
Bring the Scorecard into your student learning experience.
The CELE Center works with faculty, staff, and program leaders to connect the Civic Health Scorecard and NextGen Civic Leader Badge with experiences students are already having.
Integration can work with courses, cohorts, seminars, learning communities, study abroad, leadership programs, and other structured student experiences.
Build on what students are already doing.
The goal is not to create another layer of assignments or busywork. We look for natural connections between your existing learning experience and opportunities for students to participate, reflect, document their impact, and continue building their civic leadership.
Connect the experience to a larger civic pathway.
Together, we identify where the Scorecard naturally aligns with your curriculum, activities, learning goals, and student experiences. We build on what you already have in place and tailor the integration to your program’s needs.

What could integration include?
Every partnership can look different. We can identify the pieces that make sense for your students and your learning experience.
|
Connect Existing Activities
Identify experiences already built into your course or program that connect with Civic Actions.
|
Create a Starter Pack
Curate a small set of Scorecard opportunities relevant to your students, subject, or program.
|
|
Align Reflection
Connect existing reflection activities with the Scorecard rather than creating duplicate work.
|
Develop a Civic Action
Explore whether an existing program experience could become or connect with a Scorecard action.
|
|
Introduce the Scorecard & Badge
Help students understand how to get started, participate in meaningful civic actions, document and reflect on their experiences, and track their progress toward the Badge.
|
Build a Continuing Pathway
Connect students with meaningful opportunities to continue their civic engagement, explore new interests, and build on their experiences beyond your course, cohort, or program.
|
Integration can be simple or customized.
You do not need to redesign your course or program. Integration could be as simple as sharing a curated set of Scorecard opportunities, or it could create a more intentional pathway connecting multiple parts of the student experience with actions, reflection, and the NextGen Badge.
Looking for a workshop instead?
Both options introduce students to the Scorecard and Badge. The difference is how deeply you want them connected with your existing student experience.
