Location and Hours
Located approximately nine miles south of the UW’s Seattle campus, the Othello-UW Commons is next to the Othello Link light rail station. This accessible 2,200-square-foot facility includes room for meetings, teaching, learning, leadership, community and professional development.
Hours
We are not open for regular business hours. Our operating hours and staffing vary from week to week, depending on the reservation schedule. Groups can reserve the space seven days a week, between 9:00AM-9:00PM.

We no longer host weekly study/co-working hours. However, if we're on site and space is available, we would love to have you! Call us in advance at 206-685-3023 or email us at othellocommons@uw.edu to see if we'll be open.

The Othello-UW Commons occupies a retail space in the Assemby 118 apartment complex. Our entrance is located on the west/MLK Jr. Way S. side of the building, north of the doors to the Assembly 118 apartments. We are directly across from the Metro Flex/Via stop along the cul-de-sac.

Public transit
We highly encourage visitors to use Link light rail. The Othello-UW Commons is located across from Othello Station.
The Metro Flex/Via pick-up/drop-off spot servicing Othello Station is across the cul-de-sac from the Commons.
Parking
Parking is free but limited. Two-hour street parking is available along 42nd Ave. S. (From Martin Luther King Jr. Way S, turn onto S Myrtle St, which becomes 42nd Ave. S.)
In addition, street parking is available on 43rd Ave. S. (on the opposite side of Assembly 118). Additional parking is available on S. Othello St. on both sides of MLK Way and along residential streets farther east.
We strongly recommend that visitors use the Link Light Rail or bus. The 106 and 36 bus routes run along MLK Way Jr S and S Othello St.

Accessibility
The Othello-UW Commons is located on the street level with no entrance steps. Our bathrooms are wheelchair accessible, located on the ground floor in the lobby of the Assembly 118 apartment complex. There is a women's restroom and an all gender restroom (single occupancy).
Two of our three event spaces, Studios A and B, are on the ground floor. Our conference room is located on our mezzanine, up a flight of eighteen stairs. The conference room is also accessible via elevator in the lobby of Assembly 118. All parking is street parking. There are currently no designated disabled parking spaces.
