Host an intern with UCBI
Benefits for your organization
- Mentor and coach a university intern interested in your field of work
- Train and develop the next wave of nonprofit/public sector leaders (potential future colleagues at your org and/or in your community)
- Build your professional network with other host organizations and campus partners
- Expand your organization’s capacity to carry out its mission through the additional support of an intern
- Learn and grow through reflection and dialogue with an intern approaching your organization with fresh eyes
Cost-Share
The UCBI program asks its partner organizations to participate in a cost-share for program sustatinability. Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, we have introduced a cost-share sliding scale model for all organizations participating in the UCBI program based on organization type, size, staff capacity, and financial capacity. Please see the Prospective Host Organization Info Packet for more information.
How to get involved
If you are interested in hosting an intern, please contact Emma Biscocho Pelletier at ucbiteam@uw.edu and review the Prospective Host Organization Info Packet. The recruitment period for new partners is in the summer (June-August) each year.
