CELE Guiding Prompts
Husky Leadership Certificate participants and Ellis Fellows have a set prompt for their presentation.
For all other presenters that are not in either of the 2 programs above, please choose one of the following prompts to guide your presentation. Each prompt encourages you to reflect on different aspects of your engagement experience.
Prompt 1: Learning Outcomes
Reflect on your growth and learning throughout your experience.
- Select an experience: Choose a current community-engaged learning or leadership opportunity.
- Describe your role: What did you do?
- Reflect on growth: How did this experience help you develop in CELE’s identified competency areas?
- Main message: What core message do you want people to take away from your leadership or service activity?
Prompt 2: Career Readiness
Consider how this experience prepares you for your future.
If you chose this prompt, please reflect on the following and :
- Select an experience: Choose a current community-engaged learning or leadership opportunity.
- Describe your role: What did you do?
- Career application: What skills or insights will you carry into future careers or education?
- Main message: What do you want people to understand about how this experience shaped your readiness for the future?
Prompt 3: Why This Program?
Explore your motivations and connections to your experience.
- Reflect on your “why”: Why did you choose this program, organization, or involvement?
- Personal connection: What resonated with you? Was it your values, experience, or identities?
- Outcome: What did you hope to gain, and what have you learned from this experience?
